Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month? (Thank you Jen for the following ) Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.' It was read at her funeral years later.







For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

Come cry upon my shoulder

When all around is dark, no light to show the way
No strength left to fight, you can’t face another day
We fall down on our knees, the tears start to flow
Slip into our own world, the fears start to grow


We look at what we had, not what we have got
Falling further down, happy memories are forgot
No joy to be found in anything that we see
Just a heartfelt longing to set our feelings free

In the darkness of this life, we all so often dwell
Sitting all alone and to no one our feelings tell
How could they understand what we go through?
The whole world is against us; well we think it’s true
