1 cup brown sugar                   2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup white sugar                    1 tsp soda
1 cup shorting                         1 tsp salt
2 eggs                                     Jam

Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs, beat well.
Add dry ingredients.
Drop by spoonful on to cookie sheet.
Press thumb in the center of each cookie and add a little jam.
Bake 350 for 12-15 min.
