I am a new member here....I am not sure if I have joined the right place here.....I was looking to meet new friends......having read a couple of posts in the forums I feel it's more of a dating site...am I wrong.....if so please let me know.......warm regards Gail

I joined a little over a year ago, thinking it was a friendship site. I guess its a bit of both. Some of us have met up - both in Ireland and the UK, and have remained close friends (strangely enough )

We have a quiz here on a Sunday eve at 9pm - purely for fun, and thankfully spellings don't count.

Also, you could pay us a visit in the chat room when you are comfortable enough.

i too thought it was a freindship site but it seems to be more of a dating site and i for one think there are too many dating sites on the internet and its hard to find a site where you can just make friends...

I am another one who also joined to find friends  I have found profiles of a couple of people close to me but now find I can't contact them without paying the £20. A fair enough price I guess for dating  but not what i wanted. I am disappointed now

This club caters for both derdra. Some look for friends and others look for partners. Members can state their intentions in their profiles.

Have you been into the chat yet? It can be busy later in the evening. I know 2 members from your area and its a place to chat with friends.

I Joined as well to make friends and find things to do ,but unless your a premium member it is very restricted,only allows me a few posts a day

I see that no one has posted anything in the News & Current Issues for a long time.
I can't seem to find a site anywhere that isn't just for dating purposes.
Many of these sites say they are free. Yes, they are free to join, but then they want money once they have all your information.

Hi Shandy. This site caters for both purposes; either finding a partner or making friends. Members have the option to state in their profile what they are looking for so there should be no confusion.
